DISCIPLESHIP
Encouraging one another to know and follow Jesus Christ
Discipleship at Gateway is about welcoming everyone to know and follow Jesus Christ. It takes support to walk our spiritual journeys. We need one another to help sustain us, challenge us, nourish us, and teach us.
SMALL GROUPS
sharing life together
Small groups at Gateway take many different forms. Some are Bible studies that meet for 6-12 weeks at a time. Others are groups that share life together for a few years. Some do a book study. Others meet up as families for socializing and connection. All are rooted in our desire to welcome and encourage each other on our journeys to know Jesus more.
KIDS' MINISTRIES
doing discipleship at every age
Gateway loves being multi-cultural, multi-generational congregation. Our children's ministries are focused on helping families and children encounter Jesus. Sunday morning Jr. Church & Toddler Time run during the sermon. Family Journey Night and Jr. Youth happen on Wednesday nights during the school year.
WORSHIP
creating a welcoming space to encounter God
Our worship gatherings are typically on Sunday mornings in our sanctuary, but worship takes place all over all week. Gateway's worship team prepares music, scripture, and other activities to draw each person into the worship service. Volunteers look after cultivating the space to reflect the seasons of the church year. And the Discipleship team works to create other ways to encounter God, like a Week of Prayer in the new year or Advent activities during December.
SPECIAL EVENTS
discipleship takes many forms
Each year the discipleship team hosts special events to bring Gateway's generations together. We often participate with other congregations in joint worship services over the summer months. We've shared testimonies around the campfire. We've hosted a Christmas café and Advent breakfast. We've even started regular dinner church gatherings (currently on hold due to COVID-19).
